Baby Lulu
Ever since Erin Murphy was four years old, she learned how to sew. At age 10 she had already set to work designing baby clothes for nieces and nephews. Growing up with dozens upon dozens of unique patterns and design ideas in her head, she put them to good use and founded Baby Lulu back in 1992. She incorporated prints from vintage textiles with vibrant, trendy color palettes into beautiful, practical, perfect-fitting fashions for both boys and girls.
While some other children’s clothing labels simply re-grade patterns without altering the fit as kids grow, Baby Lulu designs each of its sizes to suit their ever-changing bodies. “Three-year-olds still have a bit of a tummy but when they're five, the whole proportion of their body changes,” says Murphy, a dedicated mother of two. Her innovative design formula seems to be working; Baby Lulu has already won three awards for infant and toddler casual design, along with a loyal nationwide fan base.
